The demand for Filipino-authored books on Criminology coupled with the mandate of CHED Memorandum Circular No. 21 was the primary mover for Criminology practitioners to come together and pour their talents to produce quality books for the use of our students in the College of Criminology
It was amidst this dire need that the FACCI was born. Retired Jail Chief Superintendent Mercedes Foronda was then the Founding President of the Federation of Authors in Criminology and Criminal Justice Incorporation (FACCI). She thought that forming a federation among these practitioners was timely to respond to the demand of time.
The Federation of Authors in Criminology and Criminal Justice Inc. (FACCI) is a nationwide federation of Criminology and Criminal Justice authors, administrators, deans, department heads, faculty members, practitioners and other professionals.
It was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) dated February 15, 2008, signed by Director Benito A. Cataran, Company Registration and Monitoring Department with Company Registration No. CN200802308 and Company TIN 006-972-787.
