In the pursuit of a more peaceful, equitable, and inclusive society, criminology and criminal justice education stand as a vital discipline that bridges theory, policy, and practice. The December 2024 issue is dedicated to exploring how criminological research significantly advances the realization of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The research featured in this issue demonstrate the pivotal role of the field beyond traditional crime analysis. They illuminate how evidence-based research can support policy reforms, strengthen institutions of justice, and promote human rights and social equity. From looking into the digital realm and its role in crime prevention in the community, examining the use of anti-criminality campaign program to enhance community-centric policing, to assessing program implementation, the research in this issue highlight criminology’s indispensable role in advancing sustainable development.
